Plan your next Hades II session
Make your next Hades II attempt a controlled run with one weapon and one question. Decide which attack will carry ordinary rooms, which action creates room to recover, and what resource you hope to bring back. Let boon choices develop that plan as the run unfolds. These exercises give you a way to compare attempts even when their rewards differ, so a short run can still produce a useful change for the next departure.

Keep one dependable clearing sequence
With your selected weapon, identify a short sequence that handles an ordinary enemy without trapping you in a long recovery. Use it through several rooms before experimenting. Observe which enemies force you to interrupt it. Add a separate answer for those enemies instead of immediately abandoning the basic sequence that already works.
- Practice the recovery after a charged action.
- Identify a move that works while retreating.

Test a Magick reserve rule
Choose one charged action you frequently use and decide when it is worth its Magick cost. In the next rooms, spend on that situation deliberately and handle other threats with your ordinary moves. Watch whether the reserve helps when pressure rises, then adjust the rule around the recovery available in that run.
- Read both the Magick cost and recovery conditions.
- Place the cast before moving into a crowded area.
- Keep a useful sequence that still works when Magick is low.

Explain every boon choice in one sentence
At each offered reward, state which action or survival problem your preferred boon improves. After the next encounter, check whether you actually used its trigger. If the effect stayed idle, identify whether the choice was unsuitable or your play needs to change. Use that observation when the next reward appears.

- Check whether its trigger matches your normal play.
- Add a defensive answer before taking another unfamiliar mechanic.

Spend toward one Crossroads improvement
Before departing, inspect an available improvement and identify the resources it needs. Use that as the run's secondary goal. On returning, review progress and make one relevant Arcana adjustment if capacity permits. Keep the weapon familiar so you can tell whether the change improves the problem that ended the previous attempt.

Track the first loss of control
After a difficult encounter, recall the first moment your plan broke down rather than only the final hit. It might be a crowded position, a mistimed charge, or a missed recovery window. Choose one earlier decision that could prevent the situation and rehearse that decision during the next comparable encounter.

- Review the cause of the final hit rather than only the final boss.
